Warrawee Reserve is the best place in Tasmania to see platypus in their natural environment.
The local Landcare group provides guided tours. The Reserve is home to a five kilometre walking track, two parklands with barbeques and tables and three ponds stocked with trout.
It is recommended that you allow two to three hours for the tour. To get the most out of this spectacular tour, the ideal number of participants is generally six to eight people. Tours are generally conducted early morning (dawn) or at dusk.
All tours depart from 48 Gilbert Street.
